Being active in Schiedam

Discover Schiedam by bike, scooter, on foot or from the water. A city walk or cycle tour through the city’s historical centre and its surrounding countryside can be easily combined with a tour on a fluisterboot (silent boat) or a visit to the museum or theatre. Jetties have been built in the Florynhaven and the Passantenhaven (passing port) for those on a leisure boating trip wishing to stay overnight. If you don’t own your own boat but would like to make a trip on the water, boats are for hire, as are canoes and water cycles.

Schiedam is the jenever capital of the Netherlands, so if you’re looking to sample some you’re at the right address.
